Backed by the increased speed of DDR4 memory, the ThinkPad T480 gives you the power of a desktop PC and the freedom of a portable laptop.

Where form meets function
Based on ThinkPad customer feedback we understand that mechanical docking is important to many of our customers. The latest T-Series business laptop offers the same mechanical docking experience you prefer with a new USB-C side docking connector. It also has a range of convenient ports, including the lightning-quick Intel® Thunderbolt™ 3 port and full-sized RJ45 Ethernet connector. In addition, should you need to work in low-light conditions, the renowned ThinkPad keyboard has a backlit option.

Power up without powering down
The ThinkPad T480 comes standard with built-in Power Bridge technology. This innovation is the answer to ‘low battery’ warnings, especially if you are on the road or without a nearby power outlet. It allows you to swap out a battery and replace it with a fully charged one—without having to turn your machine off. You can also choose a 6-cell 72 Whr battery for up to 30.3 hours* between charges.

Get closer to the action
Configure your ThinkPad T480 with an optional touchscreen so you can interact more intuitively and easily with your work—and have more fun during your downtime.

Alternatively, the standard webcam camera comes with ThinkShutter, a physical cover that you can slide open when you want to use the camera and close it when you’re finished.

* ThinkShutter is not available on configurations with the IR Camera.

Tested for battle, built for success
Every ThinkPad laptop undergoes stringent testing for reliability and durability, including surviving in hazardous physical and environmental conditions.

2 thoughts on “Lenovo T480 vs E480 Comparison, Benchmark, Review, And A Look Inside For RAM and HD Upgrade”

  • The only way to get an M2 NVME drive in the T480 is to A) buy the machine with it (in which case it comes with the included 2.5 > m.2 adapter cage/frame thingy) or B) buy the machine without it (in which case you are forced to buy an unwanted/unneeded SSD or standard RPM drive) then purchase the 2.5 > m.2 adapter separately which you can only purchase from Lenovo or one other online seller (its hard to find). Despite my love of Lenovo Thinkpads…they have the game completely rigged by seriously overcharging for the NVME drive upgrade/adapter and also over charging for the RAM. I would much prefer to be able to order the T480 without ANY RAM, and without ANY storage. Then purchase my own for much better quality and significantly cheaper, and install them myself. But Lenovo will not allow this. They said "we can't sell any laptop without hd/ram" then I responded with "ok then I'll buy a dell, bye"
